Silicone Tamping Mat

Not recommended for curved edge benches. Mine bench is rounded so it makes tamping much more difficult to the point where it’s sadly, unusable, because when tamping along the edge, it pushes the entire mat in and regularly causes a bit of a mess when it slides. That said, the mat itself is high quality. If your bench is straight-edged, then you’ll be fine.

Map is exactly what I needed but didn't realise I did! Some much easier to tamp and simple to clean any spillage. Great product

I usually tamp on the edge of our stone bench top, ,which leaves a mark. Not any longer, the tamping mat is great.

Awesome, keeps coffee grounds to a small area leaving the rest of the bench clean. Wife very happy now when i make her a cup with no mess to clean up.

Did not think a tamping mat would matter this much but this thing actually makes the whole process easier. It grips the bench properly and stops me damaging the kitchen bench. Simple bit of gear that works.

It's cheap yet good quality mat and does exactly what I thought it would do for my home espresso set up.

Great to find the perfect tamping mat. The right size for home use. The lip over the edge is great for holding it in place and it doesn't foul with the draws or cupboards underneath.
Easily wipes clean with a damp cloth and nicely protects my benchtops.

After trying a bottomless portafilter with limited success (non-Hypergrind), I had hoped the puck screen would reduce the spraying. It did slightly; I would suggest it is more user error than anything. I have since ordered the double spout portafiler from Hypergrind, which is great, and I love the tamping mat. Everything is much cleaner! Both orders came incredibly quickly. Thanks, boys.

Happens to be roughly the same width as my Gaggia machine, perfect on the kitchen bench to go with the rest of the setup.
